About ME
My philosophy
Quality, regular hoof care is incredibly important to the overall health of our horses. Hooves are constantly growing and unless horses are covering long distances over varied terrain like their wild cousins, domestic horses need regular trimming to mimic wear of the hooves and keep them healthy.
I am a passionate advocate for horses and believe that all horses and ponies, no matter what their breed, age or job, deserve the same level of care from us.
I am a proud student of David Landreville of Arizona, USA and through David's mentorship, consider myself a 'hoof builder'. Building hooves is more than just trimming. It's about constantly striving for improvement and development, and recognising the potential each horse has to have the best hooves possible.

Regular 4 weekly trim - $70
Shoe removal - $40
Additional fees may apply to heavy horses, longer than normal trim cycle, horses with behavioural issues, laminitis trims, seedy toe resections etc

Flex Hoof Boots
I am a recognised boot fitter and stockist for Flex boots which are designed to give the horse the closest feeling to barefoot possible, while still giving protection and comfort.
Flex boots are highly versatile and can be used for rehabilitation e.g laminitis, thin soles, or for horses transitioning out of shoes as well as for general riding. They come in a range of attractive colour options and are very easy to take on and off.

I stock a range of mineral and vitamin supplements from independent equine nutritionist Carol Layton B.Sc M. Ed. Carol's focus is on providing an optimum equine diet backed by peer-reviewed scientific studies. Carol can provide independent feeding plans and customised advice for horse owners based on pasture/hay testing.
